I want to say its 50 bucks. If it is your first race with the club, you can race without a membership, after that we require that the competitor become a member of the Alaska Sports Car Club, which is a 40 dollar fee.
We have Rubber 2 Ice AWD/2WD, studded tire class (usually an IT car with DOT studded tires) and the hardcore super stud cars (hand built studded tires for Ice only.) The Super stud cars require regular safety equipement such as a roll cage, fuel cell (don't want fuel dumping into the lake) and other normal requirements.
Easy way to Ice Race is get a cheap beater and buy some Blizzaks WS60's or something similiar. We've got everything from ole CRX's to 300ZX's and brand new STi's. Many people bring out there daily drivers and a no contact policy is enforced.
In the end, its a ton of fun and an easy way to find out if you're into real wheel to wheel racing!
