It is all relative to the person. I liked the lopey idle of the 272's when I first installed them. Then Shiv tuned most of it all out when he updated the firmware on my XEDE. With the bigger turbo installed, some of the lope came back . 264's will idle like stock w/ tuning.

In a nutshell, you should use parts that your tuner recommends and sells. This makes tuning your car easier and makes customer service much better. WORKS and Vishnu have some nice reflash programs. Any parts you buy from them gets you a free reflash for those parts. I know I have gotten my fair share of free reflashes and XEDE maps from Vishnu. Plus, both companies are located in the bay area so shipping is cheaper and custom tuning is only 9 hours away.

i disagree about drop ins not doing anything. Had my car on dyno 243 hp, and another 05 on the same dyno same day, with just a works drop in +8 whp over mine.

get what you feel like. it all adds up in the end. I myself did the tbe, injen inkake and flash at the same time. with that and the ebc i ran 12.7's at 108 (pump gas). with the addition to the 272/272 cams and another flash i sure i added at least 25-30 whp. It all in the tune man. i now piggy back my flashes with a saf2. good luck and have fun

I know alot of people who race their cars on the weekend and drive them daily. It is tough on the car, but its not that big of a deal unless your running 400+ hp, under 400 you should be fine with an aftermarket clutch.

Unless you don't know how to launch or your dropping the clutch at an insane RPM you should be fine. I have tons of launches on mine at the strip. Still on stock clutch at 34k.
