woodburn drag strip today

well, i jumped at the chance to make some runs today. not quit the best but i need some practice with this setup. the stock 5k rev limiter was killing me with this turbo. i bogged not once , not twice but all 5 times . best 60' was a 2.23. Anyway it was still fun to get some runs in. Mr. patterson was consistantly hitting 12.7's. very nice. i myself did a best of 12.65 @ 114.5 at 20 psi on 92oct. car is tuned like a$$ with afc till tomarrow. i believe i could have netted me at least a 12.1-12.2 at 116 on 20 psi with a 1.8 or better short time. i need al to set me for launch control at 6k. till next time c-ya

Not too bad. Your just lucky I wasn't out there with the Altima muahahhaha! I didn't think the weather would hold up. I'm sure you'll be alot more happy with the times after Al is done with it.

Yes woodburn was great today. Made about 20 passes in 5hrs.

Had a best of 12.60@107
Lots of 12.70s and a good amount of mid 12.60s.
Very happy with what the car did with what mods I have.

It's a lot harder to launch these big turbo's w/ out launch control. Don't be afraid to use a lot of clutch.

I guess it's that time of year again eh? Glad to see you are still at it and could find a dry spell in all this weather to do it in.

Ever thought about taking it to PIR? Not just the front straight, but the whole 2 miles and for more than one time before pulling over? It's great fun. You get to race Porsches, STis, and occasionally a Ferrari, Lotus, Lamborghini, etc.

One big straight and one big *almost* straight. The front straight is the one you drag race on, so you'll get going faster than you would if you were drag racing because you come off the last corner still moving and go further before the sharp right turn. It's a blast.

But then he has to get through turns 2-5. With a GT35R it's going to be painful. I am sure it's fun though.
