Front plate required?

wassup everyone. so does anyone know if the front plate is required? when i got my VIII awhile back at the dealership it came without one. just curious. i hear people say yes you do need one? haven't got pulled over yet (knock on wood) so what you peeps think.

Yes, it is required by law. I have had my Evo for 2 yrs without a front plate and have never been pulled over. I wouldn't worry about it, they look ugly and cops rarely hassle you. Just my experience.

That is true here in Cali. if you have a domestic. If you have an import.......forget about it. They will get you.

Mine no plate on front.. but my plate is underseat... I never got Hassle or pull over yet.. Ill say to cop.. That came with out Front plate mount .. it stock lol

i have'd my evo for almost 2 years and havent had my front plate on at all. the guy i bought it from told me to just keep it in my car, and if i do get pulled over, throw it on the dash. i keep mine beside my passenger seat.

I have no front plate and a cop rammed me at 80 mph because of it. I thought that was a little harsh but the law is the law.

Yeah, I've had my Evo for about a year now w/ no front plate, never have gotten in trouble for it. I also drove an MR2 with no front plate for like 3 years, then a Miata for a while with no front plate. Between the three cars I probably have like 5 years of no front plate driving and I got one ticket in my Miata that was dismissed in court - I used some doublesided tape to put the front plate on the car, took a picture and brought it to court there's no way in hell I'd drill holes in that nice bumper.

It's a stupid law that isn't really enforced.
