I'll say if this is going to be some childish b.s. I'm not going to waste my time or my money. I think this is one of the reasons why its hard to have a club in the first place. The dynamics are almost soap opera like at times.

That was just between two people. If you end up coming you should have a good time. It had nothing to do with the NWE club. Everyone in the club is pretty cool. If you show up you could come to the BBQ and meet some of members. Were not a bunch of kids goofing off. Just trying to show our support for a car that we all love. Trying to break the typical ricer boy, or Fast and the Furios image. If you have been keeping up on this thread it has been pretty well organized up untill now. Any ways hope to see you show up. Thanks

I'm not talking about the thread, I'm just talking about the actual meet itself. Even for me at the moment, some stuff has come up, and money has become pretty tight, and with as expensive as gas as become, and how fuel efficient our cars are... I just am looking to have the best time possible with a group of Evo, and import tuner enthusiasts.

I see so many people on here that daily make me laugh and post great stuff. They have a lot of hard work put into their rides, and can give great knowledge and ideas. It'd be really cool to meet them all, but not if its going to be a reminder of why I'm glad to be out of high school. My 2 cents worth, probably Canadian...

popoff is just making an *** fo himself cause he doesnt like me rolling with you evo guys in my rx8.

an as for this event getting out of control it looks as if its getting very un organized.

its not hard to hold a multi car meet for everyone to enjoy. we did it back in January and had a really nice turnout and a great drive (thanks to zoom by the way) and it would be really cool to have another.

the people that only want to look at there type of vehicle (whatever it may be) are in my opinion kinda lame. nothing against them as people, it just seems boring to me i guess to stand around and look at a bunch of the same car all day.

thats why i suggested to invite some other groups. nothing "overly rice" as most would put it, but just a good group of some nice high end cars. and i figured that since the Evo group was meeting, the Rotary group was meeting, and now i guess the subaru guys are also meeting up... i think it would be pretty cool to get everyone together and just have a good time looking at some cool cars.

and i know that popoff is going to have something stupid to say about me posting this, so just hurry up and get it over with... cause i really dont care.

Thanks,
Chris

also to the starter of this thread. im not saying you arent doing a good job getting this together. i was simply stating that people easily lose track of the purpose and i know you cant keep everyone in line. good job though non the less.

Thanks

My thoughts about your post Super is that I absolutely have no problems with others with other makes of cars hooking up either. I originally was an STi lover until I drove them, and realized I liked the Evo much better. I have also driven an RX-8, and Mazda did an awesome job, but it just doesn't perform to what I wanted.

That being said, most often when you get people together with different makes of cars, the level of hormones seems to rise, and people get cocky, and then you have problems. If it could be kept to just a bunch of people with cool cars hangin out having a good time, then that would be awesome. And I think that was the intent of keeping it down to one model of car. Because often, you won't get that, at least not in my experience. But you start adding people with other cars, and then it becomes like a competition. Where it really shouldn't be.

yes i agree. however i feel that the competitive nonsense of other car owners is more just the guy or girl being stupid. not the type fo car they drive. if someone rolls up and starts going off about this and that and making a scene, then everyone should make them leave and continue having a good time. personally i just love to roll with the evo crowd cause everyone seems pretty cool and i know a lot of the regulars. i would love to own an evo if i had the money, but i just dont. so i went with a good all round performing car... the rx8. and i really dont care much for subarus, but hey if they are nice looking then i give respect to the owner and say nice car. to everyone there own i say. just dont understand why people gotts be dumb and put others down. it just isnt cool, and its unfriendly, disrepectful and just plain makes the whole thing not fun for everyone else.

anyway just my 2cents i guess.

Thanks,
Chris

What do you think?Everett

Well meet time has been set. Try to be at Chehalis Wallmart exit 78 off of I-5 around 10:00 a.m so we leave by 10:30 a.m.. The drive should take 3 hours round trip + 1 hour to stop at the mountain to check it out. PM me for address or call me (360) 880-6749. I know their are a couple groups meeting both North and South to caravan down to the meeting point.

List of people going on the drive. I hope everyone makes it.

Yeah I haven't received the confirmation email either.

Super, that's basically what I meant too. I just didn't specify it. But hey, you can roll with me and my friends anytime you want to. I like RX-8's, and I like people who tune their cars. Take that puppy over to Corksport and get yourself a Greddy turbo kit. I used to have a Mazda Protege, and a Mazda 6 with a V6 5 speed. I took those to Corksport to have stuff done to them all the time. They've done quite a few of the Rex 8's with Greddy kits.
