lifting your car for an install

hey so i get my tbe exhaust tomorrow and i was wondering how people got under their cars to put on their exhaust. I have read about using ramps but idk if i will be able to work taht well when its so low to the ground (small ramps) and i dont know of a place that will let me use their lift. So i was looking for an easy way to get under the car.
thnx

Some good floor jacks, and jack stands would get you about 18-24" off the ground which should be enugh room for the install.

NAPA sells a 2 ton jack and 2 jack stands for under $50. I bought them 2 weeks ago but I honestly haven't tested the jack to see if its any good or heard reviews on it.

Do you have your Exhaust? You could use my shop after the ST.Helens run if you would like. If not make sure you use 2 by 4 on the pinch wells when lifting your car. Easy to bend the pinch well.

i would love the experience of using a shop but i would like to put it on before i head out for alaska on the 23rd. But i i should place the 2 by 4 in between the pinch well and the jack?
