I got a letter from IRDC today, it had a couple of surprises:
- tech inspection for everyone on Sun is @ 7:30 am (ouch!)
- it says the ground school is Fri evening (not Sat?)
it didn't have any detail on the ground school schedule since I just signed up for lapping, but I thought it was going to be Sat (not Fri). I'll call to confirm this just to see what's going on ...

I just received a driver training manual and the shedule for the school. The driving school is on Saturday. Registration is at 4:15pm and the class starts at 5:00pm. Class is in Auburn at 1320 W Main St. Look for checkered flags. Apears that the driving school last around 4 hours. Track day is Sunday at Pacifc Raceway, arrive at track 7:15-7:50 for registration. I would like to know what Ralph had recieved. My info says Saturday. We should be able to get this figured out. I will double check my info also.
Thanks for posting that Everett! Mine was just a form letter, saying that I don't have to go to ground school on Fri since I'm signed up for lapping only. My guess is they just reused the letter from the last event and you have the right info.
After seeint this I just checked my mail and I now have the packet too
. Mine says the same as Everett though. The school seems to be on satruday. Started reading through the manual its kinda cool so far.
So anyone figured out if their gonna take their car to get looked over...if so let me know where you go.

To bad you live in Redmond, You could bring your car to the shop I work at in Lacey and I could inspect it for you. Would cost you from free to 35$. Depends on when I looked at. And what my boss says I can do. This would be for a full inspection. I am an ASE certified tech. Let me know if anyone is interested.

I’m hoping to get in the lapping day and will call on Wednesday for clarification and availability but I have a couple of question for you guys/gals. Has anyone run with this group before and can you tell me how its normally organized? I read the registration form and it states the lapping day runs in conjunction with the driving school. So how many secession should I expect to get? Will the track be left clear or will there be driving school obstacles set up?
Thanks, Bob
Thanks, Bob
just saw the letter from them, there will be track lessons till about 10:30 then two different groups, beginner and what looks like intermediate, until you get signed off. Then the two groups swap half hour sessions till around five.
you going to be in town the ninth?
