Their system doesn't disable the radar guns, just the laser. It only does a better job of detecting the radar.

K40 does not make the V1. As for "old school" comment, they're not. They're up to date. It's like a Porsche 911. They have made 911's for 30+ years, and they kinda look the same, but a 30 year old 911 isn't the same as a new 911.

And the airplane thing isn't new either. Sometimes you can see the markings on the street the plane uses to time cars with. It's a very real way of catching speeders.

The V1...old school...? It saves my *** all up and down I-5, 167 and every back road out to Enumclaw.

Machron, they very well could have some of the new POP mode guns, but they technically aren't able to give you a ticket based on the speed a POP gun reads, because it measures for such a short time. The new V1's and Passport 8500 X50's can detect POP, but with it enabled you get a ton more false hits.

With the kangaroo traffic court system around here I would imagine anything goes.

Sorry I guess they have improved the V1. For a while it was lacking in features.

yep, that's the 'technically' part of that. Completely up to the officer to be honest about how he measured your speed.

Any moving radar system on a police vehicle should also technically not be court admissable. Judges don't seem to care, especially in Grays Harbor.

I remember reading last year that a new radar band (detection method) was coming out for this year. That maybe why you're not detecting anything. The unit that I have already had it installed and I turned it on since last year.

Guess I just need to upgrade my detector. I'm thinking of going with the X50 + laser jammers. Thanks All!

that's an actual radar gun, not a consumer level detector
