Possibly trading in on an IX
I got a friend to hook me up with employee pricing at $27,439 for a base evo 9. South Coast what?
Now it all depends on trade, but I will probably get screwed since they won't be making anything off the 9.

Your Post, kinda long
I see my response got a few eye brows lifted. Its not meant to upset people, its just that many of you guys and gals are allot younger than some of us. I am just trying to give the older brother advise (hope I am not that old to be your daddy yet? haha) its just sometimes when you think with your performance head, and not a rational one. Its just part of being young. You buy a car you really can't afford, you get credit, build your car, then either give it up because your broke, or you built the crap out of it and it broke, and your making payments on a dead horse. I know the EVO is a dream. It was mine and still is. I like how the one guy said, "sometimes I just walk in the garage and just stare at it". I do the same thing. People don't realize that the EVO is not just a car, its an icon. Its like haveing a Porche in the garage. But, if you bought a 03 911 Turbo, would you give it up and buy an 06 because its slightly faster? Some would. But they are the ones who don't see the current car as a friend. Do you have a friend that is not as fast, not as strong, but he is a reliable, good damn friend. If you owe 17K on an EVO 8 and you want a 9 for whatever reason, wouldn't you rather be paying isurance on a car worth 17K vs 32K? Would you not rather have your car paid off in a couple of years vs 5-6? I know some friends of mine as we all do that have 8's as I once did, that are so fricken fast its scary. 9's will be a little faster, the 10 a little faster, remember its an EVOLUTION. I personally feel that there is always going to be a faster car, and I said this many times on this board and many others, that there is always going to be a faster car. ALWAYS. This is a good one too......If speed equals money...How fast can you afford to go? There is a guy down the street from me, that I just recently met...he saw me with my 8 and with my 9. He asked me why I got rid of the 8 and I told him my story. He said why not just buy a different car? I told him because I just love this car. He later pulled up in his 2003 BMW M3 Turbo pushin almost 600HP and said, I could of bought a new one too, but I love this one too. His car is the fastest car in my area. Smoked everone and everybody. All legit on the track. He earned that respect not with the newer car, but with his 03. Same thing applies here...I am babbling on and on...but just think about it. The EVO is in a special class of cars. If you buy the 9, then you will want the 10, then an 11 then a 12, and it will never stop untill your in the poor house. Just think about what you really want and try to stick with it. I know its hard. But one day, you will be typing something like me to someone else one day saying the same thing. Good Luck in whatever you do...

You guys don't get it. He doesn't just want a 9 because he felt like it. His car has been in TWO accidents already and it's just not the same anymore. Why do you think he wants to trade it in? He doesn't want to sell the car private party.

The Tacoma
gave me $22k for my 03 trade-in. Had 35k miles. I left most of the mods on too as I was too lazy to take them off. Kept my wheels though...
