Possibly trading in on an IX

Curious what people were getting for trade in on their 03's.

Mine has 29k, sunroof, and the infinity stereo, no dents or dings, factory warranty until 36k.

I've driven plenty of my friends IX's and yeah.. I want

No dents or dings minus the curb that snuck up on you and broke your right rear suspension.

I know.. everything just feels tighter on them.. like they took all the little issues out of the 8 and resolved them.

Thats exactly the number I'm looking for. With what I owe + trade my payment should only go up 50 bucks a month.

If I do end up getting a good trade in and getting an IX, would anyone be interested in a rally red jdm rear bumper and jdm evo 7 tails? Just need your stockers + cash. Obviously need a red bumper to put back on.

$300 for bumper swap

$150 for tail light swap.

Your Post

Here goes my opinion and you know what they say about those....I owned a 03 8 and now own a 06 9. I didn't see it as upgrading at all. I basically bought the 9 since I sold my 8 after a year because my wife and I were expecting child #2 and we needed the money. Now after saving, I bought a 9 last October. To say the 9 feels tighter, I would have to dissagree. Maybe it feels tighter because it hasn't been screwed with yet. Many guys and gals get the car, start putting in electronics and stuff and once you start loosening stuff up, suspension parts ect, its just not the same. Personally, if you owe lets say 23K on an 8 and your willing to spend 32K on a 9, I think that is kinda silly. The 9 would not justify the almost 10K difference you would have. Make sense? Its not 10K better. I also here you saying my friends have "plenty" of 9's. I wonder where this is, I know in southern california anyway, the high volume dealers are lucky to get 1 car a month, so where are they getting them? haha. Must have rich friends too wow! But don't be discouraged because you have a 8 and they have 9's, its not "keeping up with the Jones's" here. Performance wise, they are very close. A tenth here, a tenth there makes a world of difference on the track, but not in daily driving as I am sure you do. Its up to you, I love the 9 as I did the 8. I don't like one better than the other and since you only owe like 23-24K on the car, it makes no sense to get deeper in debt. Especially since the 8 is a very good car. Just my opinion. Keep the 8.
