Skidplates

As some of you know, we had the drive up to windy ridge last week. There was a few bad spots in the road that I hit, and bottomed out. I want to praise Beatrush for there awsome underpanel. It saved most of my front end. I think that if I wouldn't of had it, I would have taken out most of my front end. IC, radiator, tranny, on and on. All the damage I have instead is a severly bent skid plate, tranny crossmember, and need an alignment. If you are thinking of getting one, I recomend this for your car. The stock plastic ones suck. The only draw back that I have found, is that the skidplate needs to be removed to change your oil. Unless you dont mind it running everywhere.

That's actually pretty cool. I was going to build one of those over the weekend after having issues with my APR splitter.

Its good to know that the Beatrush underpanel, helped protect your evo's underside from severe damage. I'm sorry to hear that this happened to your Evo. If you need another Beatrush underpanel, please give us a call or pm me. I'll help you out. Thank you very much.

For those interested, we have them in stock and ready to ship for a new price of $295:

Thanks Kami speed. That is really cool of you. Unfortanatly, I am running an Evo 7 front bumper and this panel doesn't fit that. So, I will probably beat it out as best as possible, and keep running the one I have after I make some extensions for it to match the 7 bumper.
But thanks again.

I don't see the lower tie bars in that picture - does the panel go over them, and are there any fitment issues with larger down pipes? thx!

I dont have any issues at all. I have the large Perrin IC, and DP. They fit perfect. It covers most of the front end. This is the only skidplate I was able to find that went from one side of the bumper to the other.

Is it a real skid plate that rally drivers use or is it just a metal version of the OEM splash guard? Looks too thin to be a real skid plate. Not hating, looks good, just dont want to miss lead people.

It is a real skidplate. It is aluminum, and very sturdy. When I bottomed out, it saved a lot of stuff under my car.

On it's japanese website at http://www.laile.co.jp/products/mits...s/s530570.html, it states that the thickness is 2.0mm and made of aluminum.

I believe standard rally skidplates are atleast 1/8" which is more than 3.0mm.

Anybody else have experience with this?
