Protekt Skidplate Product Review

Hi guys, Protekt Skidplate provided me a free sample of their product to review it for the community.

It''s a plastic that protects your bumper and your skidplate if you're sitting static low. It is made with polyethylene plastic and is lightweight and extremely slippery.

Car without skidplates

Product comes in 3 piece, 2 side and one central. Complete stainless steel hardware to mount them. You only need a 10mm wrench, a Phillips screwdriver and a drill. I made this at home without even jackstands.

The installation was very easy, i needed only 1 person to align and hold the plastic and then I drilled trough my bumper. When i installed it, there was no holes that could be re-used, so you I had to align it myself, but the pieces are perfect machined so fitment was no issue. Hardware is solid and no screw are showing up once installed.

As someone who already scratched my bumper going into driveways, I am really happy with this product and it does make your car look lower.

Looks like a neat idea, seems pricey for the product though.

That is exactly what I needed once the car was new. Too late now it's all scratched up :-(
