Need Lawyer ticket help

Hey, this morning i got pulled over for a 61 in a 45 charge. He got me with lidar 4445 feet away!!!!! 1 mile = 5280 ft. he got me almost a mile away. Anyways i am asking for all you to help me and let me know if you know of a lawyer i can talk to that might be able to get me out of this. I don't mind paying the fee, i just dont need my insurance to go any higher than it already is. if you have any info or ideas, they're greaty appreciated. thank you all in advance for your help.

I've had good luck with fred hopkins and I know a ton of people who use mitch green with success. they charge about $250 for speeding tickets..well worth it. don't have phone #s on hand but I'm sure there in the phone book.

oops nevermind you're in portland!

I tried to fight my last ticket

cop was in traffic behind me i would say .5 to 3/4 a mile away... and he comes flying through weaving in and out of traffic and pulls me over saying I was doing 101 in a 60... BS... YEAH RIGHT!... First off I drive an RA... gonna take me more than a couple seconds to get to 100 ...it was almost pitch black out overcast.. out on 509/port of tacoma where there aren't any road lights.. and he was looking at taillights almost 3/4 of a mile away in with vehicles between him and I and he paced me doing 101????... I challenged the ticket the cop didn't show up and I explained to the Judge that he just came out of nowhere and how that I did speed up but only to pass a slower moving vehicle but there was no way I couldn't have gotten up 101 that fast!( which is LEGAL in WA, you are allowed 10mph over to pass a vehicle that is travelling less than the limit)

He(the judge) cut the fine in half... he said that he couldn't verify that I was telling the truth and he couldn't verify what the cop had said due to the fact he wasn't there... I guess in Wa you have to subpoena the cop and if he still doesn't show then you can get it dismissed... otherwise its your word vs. the cops

Traffic laws are so vague in WA anyway... a cop can pull ANY vehicle over and write that person a ticket and there is nothing you can do about it... until you get a lawyer... yet your still paying the lawyer... So your gonna pay one way or another!

Another reason I hate Washington State... I never heard of so many ppl having issues with traffic cops back home... even in the bigger cities... I guess washington has to make some money some how to repair that stupid idea they call a viaduct!

is that the book from those ppl that say if you don't win that they will pay your fine?

if so its not true... a friend of mine bought that book when he lost he contacted them and they refused to pay saying he obviously didn't follow the book word for word...

Get a lawyer, never represent yourself. Even if you are 100% in the right no judge will take you seriously.

i agree, when i was younger i got a few tickets and unless you talk the talk, meaning courtroom legal mumbo jumbo your gonna get burned. Most likely the officer knows the judge etc.
