Got alignment today at Omni Brake in Kirkland

After installing my Swift springs I knew I needed to get a good alignment. After searching the forums and talking to people here I decided to give Omni a try (even though driving to friggin Kirkland sucks from Tukwila)!!!

I showed up a half hour early just incase they could get me in sooner and it's always better to be early than late. Without wasting any time Patrick, the owner, introduces me to the tech that will be working on my car so we could go over everything. I gave him the alignment specs I wanted and showed him the bump stop bushings I wanted him to install A few minutes later when he went to pull the car in I noticed their setup was pretty cool. There was a large dug-out pit shaped like a T and the car was pulled up to it and lined up on the alignment rack. The tech could then walk underneath the car and do all the work just like that. I've only seen small pits, nothing this large before and not for doing alignments but it looked to work very well.

While most of the work was being done I waited patiently in the waiting room BSing with Pat about this and that. Come to find out we both have a recent "click it or ticket" story hehe... Anyway a little while later the tech was done installing the bushings and informs me he's going to start on the alignment. Thirty more minutes or so and it's time for me to sit in the car while they dialed everything in and that was pretty much that.

He got the specs I wanted to try spot on (w/me in the car):
Front -1.7/-1.7 zero toe
Rear -1.2/-1.2 zero toe

On the way back home traffic was fairly light so I got to feel everything work. I was surprised by how damn good it felt and how responsive it was again. It stayed going straight (unless the crap lines in 520 and I-5 take over) and actually feels more light on its feet now. Maybe next time I'll try for more camber in the rear and maybe some slight toe in, like 1/32 or 1/16th but I have to see how I like this first.

I would definitely recommend Omni Brake and Alignment to anyone looking for a quality alignment in the Seattle/Bellevue/even Tacoma area. They KNOW what they are doing and although their shop may be small it was clean and their customer service was excellent.

Well...I think I know where I'm taking my car for its alignment!

Thanks for the well-written review!

With the bushings install it was $180 I believe. A few hours of work and some change.

I guess they do a ton of Porsches and Miatas too. One story was about a bunch of GT2's that came down from Vancouver and were crowding the parking lot. Funny part was that it uh, took them a few days longer to get down here if you catch my drift

Camber was about -.5 on each side the front with the carrier bolt turned inwards. When it was swapped we got up to -1.7,8. I don't have the before sheet but I know the toe was all messed up esp in the rear.
