Oil Temp

Just out of curiosity, anybody with an 06 MR usually pay attention to their old temperature. Like last night on the cruise home in the middle of the night, going down the freeway, I was at like 55 degrees celsius which would be approximately 131 degrees farenheit. Seems a bit low for a turbo car. I'm just curious if my guage is off.

Today in 80 plus degree weather, I was operating at about 63 degrees celsius, and around town, at about 75 degrees celsius. This was just normal driving too, not racing the heck out of it.

Anybody else have similiar results??

the sensor for the gauge is on the bottom of the oil pan, thus getting the coolest temperatures and air flow on the pan. My gauge behaves the same exact way.

Yeah I know where its at on the pan. Just was curious if the guage was off any. Thanks for answering.

My buddy and I got into a discussion about it last night. His turbo car just runs a higher oil temperature. So thought I'd ask.
