Well guys it looks like I'll be biting the bullet and be going with a SMC Alky kit like Chewy.

I'm getting rid of the cat-back exhaust and throwing the stock one back on. My next mods will by the upper and lower IC pipes, high flow cat, WORKS stealthworks axle back, ARP head studs, and smc kit running on 100% denatured alcohol. Hopefully John will come back in December so I can get my car tuned with these last mods of mine.

I'll also be heading over to Oak Harbor for these installs so I'll be seeing you guys there.

Oh yea, 30 psi here I come as well. Hopefully the stock DP and IP won't be severely choking the flow.

Well after seeing all the problems with the Snow Performance kits, Chewy told me how happy he was with the SMC alky on his car with 0 problems. SMC should be coming out with a fail safe soon so I decided to go that route. I'll also be running alky instead of meth like Chewy as well. I'm a fan of the meth but it can be a pain to find and I'd rather not carry meth around in my trunk. 100% denatured alcohol can be found more readily.

Also, I sad screw the stock exhaust system. I'm selling off the Jun BL exhaust so I'll be on the stock exhaust for a bit, but come December (I really hope John's coming back) I'll have an Espelir DP, Megan O2 housing, Ultimate Racing HFC, with a Tanabe Touring Medallion. Hopefully that'll be enough flow for the exhaust gases.

well i dont think the problems were ths kits themselves maybe the install. im not bashing on the smc kit at all cause i chewys works good but i just like the added safety with snow performance. as for your downpipe i have a perrin down pipe and i have no rubbing or clearance issues so thats something to think about. also i havent heard anything good about megan parts. i heard they crack alot.

I could go with a different O2 housing. It was so cheap though!

I did a search of the Snow Performance kit and it seems some vendors sell the product, but recommend their customers go with the SMC kit because they've had 0 problems. Seems the Snow Performance kits are more prone to crap happening to them.

well either way i recommend both kits. you know you dont have to run meth in the snow kit right? whatever you choose to run is for power. you will get lower octane levels with denatured alcohol then you with with methane 50/50. haha as for the 02 housing i would say stay away from megan for sure. cheap price, cheap quality. if i were you id say screw the o2 housing and go with upper and lower ic pipes.

Already have the upper and lower pipes on my list to do. My entire news mods list are:

ARP head studs
Alk kit
Upper and lower ICP
TBE w/ hfc

I'm calling it quits after that. Close to 400whp is good enough for me.

just so its noted the snow kits are more prone to leak due to the quick disconnects it had nothing to do with installs ryan. I would still buy a snow kit over the SMC but thats just based on opinion. I dont really care. Anyways im buzzing and im going to go to bed lmao.
Peace out

Wonder if there's a way to fix the leaks with the quick disconnects. If we could, I would go with the Snow Performance kit since it already has the safety device.

What are you buzzing off of Anthony? Sharing is caring!

I was drunk haha. Also the only reason that lupes kit leaked was due to the fact that he bought an older model of the snow kit. The SAVE INJ has been upgraded since then so that it does not leak. The other thing about lupes car that was making it leak from the injector was the fact that it did not have enough pipe tape (thread lock) around it. All of that is fixed now and I believe the snow kit is one of the best on the market. Most companies use the same pump and the same quick disconnects other than smc which I have not seen the kit in person. U can add a the snow perf fail safe to any kit I do believe. Let me know what kit you want to go with andy. I will get you a deal on the snow kit if you want it with SAFE INJ. Peace
