any car you modify is going to decrease gas mileage when you get on it at wot, but yeah we choose evo's because they gots the AWD and Lancer's do not. I rather have a 500hp evo than a 300hp tire spinning queen

It would mean that with the stock turbo (and the same tune) they would get even better mileage (even though I suppose you could argue that since the bigger turbo also spools later in the RPM that in daily driving you might now drive more off boost than before and then maybe thats how it happens too).

Bigger Turbo == more air going in the engine == engine requires more fuel == gas mileage goes down.

And of course there's the simple "keep your foot out of the gas pedal and keep boost low" thing which will help mileage the most.

That being said...keep tuning your Lancer, sawgunner if thats what makes you happy then nothing wrong with it .

To each their own but don't say you got a Lancer because of gas mileage. The amount of dough you'll spend building the car will cost far more than any money you save on gas or even the car for that matter.

I have nothing against the Lancer peeps except for you, the a*hole in the Lancer w/ a body kit that cut across 209th into your driveway almost making me hit you doing 45 today. You know who you are....

nah I concluded what I said with "to each there own" if that's something you are interested in then go for it, just know that lancer's were not built to be great handling/power making cars they are econo boxes no different then a scion, and the money to make them even a 1/10th of what a evo cost and still maintain "gas milage" you might as well have just gotten an evo.. but hell, stick with your lancer it probably suites you better anyhow
