Plus, that walk through is great for an Evo 8, however a 9 has "3" high octane fuel maps, instead of the one that an 8 has.

You dont need anything special to tune man. Just get something that has Windows XP on it. You can probably get away with one of those cheap Ebay laptops too. Make sure you have a Wideband hooked up if you plan on doing any tuning, and just go slow.

Make sure it has plenty of RAM whatever you buy Chris. I made the mistake of buying a cheap laptop and then spent almost as much upgrading the RAM as I did on the laptop.

No, defi doesnt make a wideband as far as I know. The cheap route would be to go with a LM-1 from Innovate Motorsports (http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/), however, if you have the funds, I recommend getting a zeitronix kit. This kit will allow you to do EGT, AFR, BOOST, and a user input. You dont need the screen that goes with it, but it is nice. Its easy to use and plugs into the tuning software, but so does the LM-1. Remember, you will need to get an O2 bung welded into your downpipe, before your car. You will want the bung to be a good distance from the turbo, and you want it to be in the 11 to 2 o'clock position to prevent any water from settling on the sensor.

I have 2Gb in my lappy right now and its about the right amount to get everything working as fast as I turn it on. EvoScan is still a little slower than I like, but ECUflash is as fast as I click on it.
