Nothing yet as the car is in the body shop getting some panels straightened after a frakking drunk side swiped it in front of my house (yes I raced it busted up anyway). I am going to fix the 6 speed and then switch to a 5 speed since I pretty much only drag race and even road racing I rather not have it in there.

thats because you need to air down your tires to 20psi for racing

I ran a 13.9 on the last run, shifting into 5th 25' from the trap @ 7krpm.... the second I had the clutch to the floor I remembered the 8k redline. All in all I felt there could be a solid second lower resolved from driver error.

20 psi sounds like a good number. I had the same tires as Chris and I put them to 24 psi. I was still sqeaking and not really gripping hard enought. Or it could the proxies 4.

I have been to the track 5 times this year and every time I start at 35psi and usually end up at 20psi within a couple runs

Hey Duggy, my 12.3 was on stock tires and factory recommended air pressure, do you think if i deflate my tires it would help improve my 60ft? My best 60ft has been 1.73

1.73 is not too bad. It also depends on the conditions too. Since you are just learning its hard to say whether psi or driver skill would get you a 1.6 60' You just have to decide whether or not you are spinning out of the hole. 20psi also helps with wheel hop. I have never had wheel hop at 20psi but I have at 25psi and higher.
