NW Tuner

Hey All, wanted to let you all know if you need your EVO tuned take dat ***** to Lucas English (www.englishracing.net) cuz he rocks. Dropped off my VIII to him w/ Vishnu Stage 2 all supporting mods, running like crap, etc. on her (purchased that way) to get her tuned, he rips out the XEDE (anyone want to buy one cheap?) and tunes w/ a flash. WOW, man does she ever run now. I'm a believer. Thanks for all the recommendations to go see him or John @ RRev. Lucas, props to you if you read this Bro. BTW any members over here on the East Side of WA?

I'm gettin my custom reflashes with him right now. I had it tuned by him back on the first dyno day and the car ran great but then decided to upgrade which ment time for a retune. I've only gone through lucas and havent been upset yet.

Since the topic is NW tuners. I'd like to add JB to this list. Heard plenty good things about him.

Hey did you have a problem with your idle. I just bought my MR that has the Vishnu V400 package and it idles somewhat rough. I think I may take it down to Lucas or JB to get retuned. Did he do a full road tune with a wideband or what process did he take if you know by chance.

first step is to yank out the Xede and retune with stock ecu, using a wideband and just ripping it on the road

There is a lot of snake oil being sold in the evo world. Vishnu is just one vendor of it. They are moving on to BMW and Porsche now. That ought to be interesting. A lot of those guys won't take too kindly to their 190k GT2s blowing up!

sHIV will learn, and seems to be learning, that some markets are best left to the professionals. After the raking he got on 6speed when he was trying to debut his new PROceed for the Porsche I would think he will tread lightly. Too many big names to try and unseat, and too many people that know who he is from the Subaru and Evo world.

Derek, whenever you are able man. You got my email. I dont have a mobile logger, I tune by NB voltage and other clues. My IX tunes are very well defined by my own WB however.
