i would reccomond it! so u wont get Rear end nasty or totaled.. or insurance find out missed US law safety missed (air bags, Reforcement bar, etc) they wont cover for repairs.

Pretty sure that since the JDM bar isn't OEM equipment they still won't cover the repairs anyway, but maybe someone with that has been in this situation can speak up.

I've seen that a long time ago. That thing won't stop a shopping cart. USDM has a crash beam and the JDM has a renforcement bar. It cost like 30 or 40 bucks. Anything 30 to 40 bucks doesn't go a long way in OEM terms

That is a support brace not a crash beam.

I found amber side markers saying OEM, did "JDM" Evo's come with amber side markers? Might look better with the "JDM" MR heads/tails.

Ok let me rephrase that for you then. The JDM bar did not come stock on the USDM car, or it wouldn't be JDM now would it? It more than likely did not pass whatever tests Mitsubishi had to do to get the car to come into this country (not saying that it couldn't have but it obviously either wasn't tested or it failed testing outright since it's not on the USDM car today) and thus if the insurance company really wants to ream you about it there is probably nothing you can do about it (since you went and switched out a part that passed the tests with one that possibly did not).

I haven't searched on the forum for it...but has anyone seen anyone with this setup get rear ended and have any issues from the insurance?
