I dont think it would require a bodyshop, just someone who has done it before.

I am letting a local hot rod shop do mine only because I need to modify my HKS 30th Anniversay exhaust. I dont know how to TIG, let alone stainless. So I figure I might as well do it all at once. Did you consider your exhaust? Are you sure the one you have will fit the IX rear?

i have a Evo 8, i also wanted to put the JDM Rear Diffuser Bumper. My question is will the JDM IX Bumper fit on the USDM Evo 8's? Those things look clean though.

I have stock exhaust at the moment and plannin on gettin Buschur Racing Bullet Muffler TBB. Will this be ok with the JDM IX Bumper. I mean fitment wise, will everything fit right?

The fitment could be the same for an 8 and 9. Ask the shops that sells it For BR ask them too if it will fit

Its not hard at all... just do it it will only takes like two hours. the HKS exhuast will clear, and it will fit only a 8... look

Remember I told you you have to modified the lic plate bracket... if you shorten the bracket and use after market lighting, thats how it would look.

the exhuast rub a little on the inboard side aft section. you will have to trim it back about 1".

if its a rivet issue which I know is going to be a pita I can take it to my shop and get the bracket removed from your usdm bumper and give the install a shot, I have a pretty good knowledge of how it is to install, plus I'll be doing my own when it gets here ~ Jon

I have the same exhaust its going to rub a little and stick out quite a bit, eventally you'll need to go to an exhaust shop to have it modified, but in the mean time it'll be fine
