Matte Black

I know this is crazy but I'm doing it anyway, I'm painting my evo matte black with a thin layer of clear coat. What do you guys think? I already have negative comments about it. Whats up?

Hell yeah! Do that sh@t! It takes ***** to paint a brand new car like that. But don't use clear, it will make it glossy. Use the carisma stuff with the flattening clear. I might go flat matte red next summer,

Would be interesting to see. I love matte black paint jobs, but Ive never thought about one on an evo. I always think of bigger cars with those paint jobs. What about wheels, trim, etc? I love black cars with black wheels...dont know why.

DO IT!

A friend of mine did that with his car and it came out looking pretty cool. One thing he did also was to paint a few sponsor logos in gloss black on the door......stealthy.

It is a love or hate kind of look.........

That will be cool. I had a '00 Golf 1.8T 4 door with a GT28R, shaved and smoothed it all out and matte blacked it.
