it better to go Safe mode with Springs and retaniers. beacsue im plan to full built motor 2.0 and GT35 by Summer 2008 hopefully or spend whole on my project 98 supra TT
I guess its all opinion really because I have yet to really see a back to back test. I think they are both good but the thing is anybody will tell you Cosworth's are better when thats what they own or vice versa. Myself...I would only talk to people that have experience installing both and seeing what different outcomes are...I know AMS has tuned a couple each...ask them what cams they like better on stock turbo

Cossies seem to be too large for a stock turbo. S1's match well and dont need valvesprings above the stock redline. I highly doubt that you can get cams and springs for the price of the S1's but if you can then thats a good deal and I would suggest you not only jump on it but by 2 or 3 sets.

Arron-
that weird.. VIDING Racing say Cosi cams dont need Springs and retainer upgrade.. Stock Springs and Retianer is ok with Cosi cams. they say good for IX turbo with Mivec.

Or i should get Springs and retianers? with Cossi Cams

Did you mean vivid racing? If you plan to run the car I would upgrade if I were you. Cosworth have too much lift for the stock springs.

i think i want safe mode with spring and retiainer if i over rev limiter.. or something

Cossies are okay with the stock springs and retainers ONLY IF the stock rev limit is NOT RAISED. Otherwise the added lift and duration will kill the stock valvesprings. This is why the S1's are such a nice option for in between usage where you dont need HUGE cams but still need something bigger than stock.

umm.. Javier had Cossi 272s on his evo and with BC spring and retiainer and Tuned by Lucas 24psi and it seem fine so far over 2000miles on his.

so im thinkin Cossi 272s mivec cams and BC Springs and retiainer,

then someday 2.0 full built and Head work with Values, lifter, etc
then going to GT35..

so u think it ok with Stock Intercooler with upgrade cams? lol i just wonder.. beacsue im sellin Intercooler 3.5 custom built. and get Warlbo 255 fuel pump

Um keep the intercooler. Save the money then buy the pump. The intercooler will be necessary when you add the head and GT35.

If you plan to go bigger turbo (GT35 sized or so) definately go with the Cosworths...but I be damn sure and get the valve springs and retainers. Its not that much extra and its a little extra insurance if you ever decided to rev between 7800-8000 or so at the dragship...seeing as 330+whp will either run out of gearing or have to rev further to prevent shifting to 5th. Really if you analize dyno graphs of both cams from what I have gather is Cosworth's have a greater peak HP whereas GSC have much more linear and midrange power (which is what they were designed to do) Also I though you had the AMS intercooler...I would keep it, thats a good intercooler that is proven to work. Building one on your own will be alot hard than it sounds...there is quite a bit of technology and processes that are needed.

I have GT35 sitting in my room.. so im not rendy to put on.. i need to full built and etc safety route..

Acutally Lucas and Arron put alot power and safety too! Lucas tuned 25psi on my Stock motor. and had snice 1 month and hadnt got any problems, it was wonderful!

I only had, TBE 3", O2 housing, Fujita intake with uicp, MBC forge UNO, Greddy Type RS BOV, AMS LICP, AMS intercooler (now stock on), Jic Magic Exhaust manifold.... so that thought it would be nice with Cossi Cams 272s with B.C. Springs and Retiainers.
