FMIC Lower pipe

Is it true? I have to remove the front bumper to replace the FMIC lower pipe? From what my service manual showed, it didn't say you do, but I couldn't imagine any other way to really access the intercooler side very well, anyone done this and know? Just got my ETS pipe and

well i dont know if you can do it without taking the bumper off the lower pipe has a bracket that is bolted to the frame you might be able to do it if you have patience and are good at puzzles but taking the front bumper off is not that hard the first time i did it it took me 45min to take off the splash gaurd(damn push clips all 50 of them or so) and 5min to get the bumper off but anyway good luck and i hope that i might have scratched your itch if not sorry.

Take it off. The stocker is bolted up with 2 brackets. Unless you have a ratcheting reversible wrench, its difficult to do it without the bumper off. I've only done 2 LICP installs and with the bumper off, it was done 15 mins quicker.

Word.. I'll weld a 2' bar on the end of my wrench if I have to, especially if I don't have to take the whole undertray off. When I first got the car I took the tow section out to be sure I knew how it worked, and 11 of those plastic screws later I already knew how bad I hated the undertray by then.

Thanks in advance!

Installed the pipe today, and I have to do the whole thing over again tomorrow. Pipe sits at the wrong angle and the under pan, it doesn't fit back right... I'm picky, so gonna fix it all... Gonna hit Lowe's first and invent a new under pan attachment system... those plastic screws are a$$.
