I need a different boost controller or take the high pressure actuator off because it was not holding boost on the dyno like it would on the street. I had it set for 25psi solid from my street pump tune, and on the dyno it rolled into 18 and then tapered up to 24 for 353/312 for the pump tune. Had it been 25 the torque definitely would have been better.

Then when Lucas and I started cranking the thing to get something out of it for the racegas it went the complete opposite way and spiked over 33.28(max on the JDM 3 bar) and ran about 15 counts of knock. There was no fine tuning it and keeping it from spiking but even with the knock and the run only going to 6000 (car made peak power at 7150 on the low boost pump tune) it made 383/458.

Bob I forgot to tell you that my profec is the E-01. Is that the one that doesnt seem to like real high boost like what I am planning?

All dynos aren't created equal though. For all we know a stock IX on your dyno does 300 .

You street tune in 3rd or 4th? I vaguely remember you getting out on some back roads and doing tunes in 4th?

In any case that is one the slight flaws of dynos at the end of the day. They can't emulate true road conditions 100%.

Codgi,

I have done many 3rd, 4th, and even 5th gear street tunes where no one is endangered. Bill was impressed with my AFR's, ROCK SOLID 11.7 like I aim for on my own car. I was stoned off of exhaust fumes by that point but I believe he said that it was completely out of the ordinary for a street tuned car to come in and do that.

Sorry I didnt have a bunch of time to hang out and chat but it was definitely nice to meet you.

Max2evoIx- Got logs?

Heh yeah it was nice to finally meet the great Jaaayyyybbbbbbbespec . Nice you can get out there and get them that high. I do 3rd and then extrapolate the load cells for 4th. But when I went on in Nov as ouminan can testify it was running a bit rich (hit as low as 10.5).

My 3rd now is a lot leaner then when you saw the logs last when it was going down to 11.0. Its 12.5 when spooling->11.5 from peak on....so not as exciting as 11.7 flat. Have to wait until another dyno day and get it back on there and see where she is now.

I got the boost relativley decent now. Spikes are now under control (go mrfred!!).

Dyno's usually end up a little leaner than the street Lucas was telling me, so I am probably more in the neighborhood of rock solid 11.5's. Which I still will allow

We had one IX we tuned with just a TBE that pulled 330whp. Only 19-18psi with the factory boost solenoid.

If it wasnt on the same dyno, then the numbers cant be compared. So no sense in posting them.
