just looks like you need to attach that to your stock intake pipe with a worm clamp and connect the MAF plug.

This creates a few issues to contend with on their own. Untuned, the car will suffer some performance because the computer isn't prepared for the amount of air that this will allow. If you have intentions of flashing the ecu to alter the mapping to use this properly it makes a world of difference.

I think as its been stated on here before, its beneficial to have a good idea what your end goal with your car is, and buying mods that support that goal.

I checked my stock filter the other day and its horrible. I just want something cheap for the time being to help my car breathe a little better.

i had issues on mine with a simalar set up(K&N). I had issues with it stalling every time i would push the clutch in and the rpms would drop...after changing a bunch of parts i still had the problem and a friend bumped up the ECu idle settings to fix it

lol...honestly i've never heard of these problems before. i remember when i got my cone filter i was fine. in fact the car seemed like it liked it haha. i mean i don't think it's gonna matter if you're using the stock intake pipe and stock maf. it's fine. but yeah i mean all cars are different. if u need a stock pipe i'll sell you mine.

no worries, just plug it in and enjoy. It will be a bit louder when you shift or get on the gas. a tune wouldnt hurt since the stock "box" is a bit restrictive. nothing major, get tuned on your own time.

Yeah, there is no reason you shouldn't be fine. I'm sure you will here the DV now lol. Just get a tune/reflash when money is right.
