Diverter valve is another term for BOV. It leaks over 20psi and since it was always leaking (designed to just hold stock boost and not much beyond) you'd never notice a change until you replaced it (if at all) .

ohok... yea i have a MR bov... and i guess it runs find... maybe i just need to get a boost gauge to really see what i'm missing or what not...

The upgraded metallic one from the IX? That will be fine for stockish and just over stockish boost.

for the boost gauge where do everyone put the vaccum holes too to T it off...?

left side of Fuel rail Vacumm port... that where i set mine on Defi.. it work good and accurates.

how many psi is stock... i have 18 psi like the 1st gear then its goes around 16 and 17

1st won't give you enough time to build boost properly. Pop it in 3rd from 2500 rpm up to about 7k and that should let you see where the boost actually is.

Thats about right for stock though, 20ish tapering to 16/17.

oh ok... yea it is like that i tried it out... but now sometimes when i shift into gears.. it sounds like the something is hitting the tranny or diff or exhaust... everything i shift... any clues..?
