New information... We are doing the next school after this school in OCTOBER. The weekend of the 5th (my Birthday).

So if you can't make this one, definately plan for the October school.

Also, Preparation for the ADVANCED School is under way. We just toured the location and plotted the roads this afternoon and all I can say is WOW!!!! There are some FINE roads. Some Tarmac, loose gravel, packed gravle, dirt and gravel and grass.

Lots of transitions, speed, slippy, high grip and down right outrageous corners!

You DONT want to miss this one!

More to follow. Stay tuned.

where? And when?

Where does the October event take place? I'm in the military and I've been looking into turning my evo into a rallycross vehicle. I've been mudding a couple of times and its awsome. I'm currently stationed in OK city but I'd be willing to drive a lil ways to take a course or two. Also where could I find rally parts? Skid plates seem to be hard to come by and I hate hitting debris. Let me know what's going on thanks!

First off, skid plates are pretty easy to come by if you have a jig saw and about $80 bucks to spend. High Density Poly-Ethylene 4x8 sheets in varying thicknesses can be purchased and trimmed to fit the underside of the EVO very easily and many argue work better than steel skid plates because an additional feature of HDPE is that it is SLICK... which means it slides over rocks and debris rather than dent or contour to it.

I've used the stuff for years and absolutely LOVE it. I'm available to help you find Rally parts, give you the numbers of Rally vendors and point you towards rally specific sites that can help.

Back on track... The October School is just a few minutes outside Portland, Oregon... a bit off the beaten track from Oklahoma City. So, if you are going to make the drive... I applaud you and look forward to meeting you.

Alright well I'll look into fabricating my own skid plate. As far as other parts like mud flaps, clutch, tires and maybe suspension what else should I look into? The suspension on my MR is already pretty good, but it feels like I need a little bit wider tires with thicker tread and maybe lighten the vehicle. I guess just give me suggestions on places to buy from and what to do.
