Moving to P-Town.

So here is the situation, i just lost my job of 5 years as a Sr. Real Estate broker. I am currently selling my non-favorite cars and already sold my house so i can make this move in about 6 months. I am looking for a good place to live near OHSU cause i am falling back to my actual degree which was Science and Radiology. I need to know if anyone knows of a good area i can buy a big house at. I have a little over $450K after liquidating my stuff. I cant go on MLS system to check anymore cause i dont want to pay for using the system and dont know really whats a good area for kids and family. Thanks for your help peeps. BTW if anyone wants to buy a 2004 Cadi Escalade with 49K miles, 2007 BMW 335i coupe with 19K and in perfect condition let me know.

thanks guys for the goodluck . I knew for several months that the owner of the company is going to sell the business. It was only a matter of time till everything was finalized. I just hate that fact that a bunch of good people lost jobs, who were making a really good living. I am fortunate enough to have a good amount of cash put away.
I actually have a Radiology degree along with a general science bachelor's. I just dont want to stay in this little town which has no job opportunities. I am thinking of working in OHSU as a CT/MRI tech. I just need to know if you guys know of any good location of housing around that area. I talked to Tom from ETS and he said he will take me around when i come up here in a few weeks but i just wanted to check around to see if anyone else knew of any other places.

I should have clarified... A couple of my friends process new listings for two of the largest real estate offices in the area. Prudential North West and Keller Williams.

If there is a great deal out there, they will know it before they hit the market.

Didn't mean to be vague.
