No need to. If the car is running the stock ECU you can simply turn off this code if it really is the cat causing the problem. Much cleaner solution

I hope the code was due to the cold weather last week.
You can search around and see if other users in cold climates have the same problem. You could get the O2 sensor checked as a backup though.
