Glass replacement anyone?

Anybody know of a good windshield replacement company in the Beaverton area?

A rock chip that was over a year old turned into a crack across the windshield in the really cold temps I was seeing in Spokane during Christmas.

Want to get it replaced, and since it's the Evo, I don't want shady stuff.

Thanks!

I just got mine done the other day for the same reasons.

I used Cascade Auto Glass, they were really easy going and gave me a fair price. I have had zero issues with the install or the glass. The number is 503-526-2044

first you have to ask yourself if the weight of the wind shield matters, because there are two different type of wind shield for our cars. OEM for EVO, or OEM for Lancer, they are the same shape and form but the EVO one is lighter... the price different is about $400.

the lancer wind shield is a listed OEM replacement also, they are identical except for weight, not saying you didnt get the right one. when I replaced mine, I choose the cheaper one as well, I just dont see the different between the two except for my wallet... just my 2 cent.

Is the weight difference really all that much though?

unless you are tracking your car and every once count, I don't notice the different... except like I said earlier, the $400 money weight in my wallet... thats different

From what i remember reading in 03 when i first started visiting this site and mitsubishicars.com at the same time, the weight difference in every piece of glass in the Evo is 10%.

This sucks...Mine was chipped last weekend. I'm trying to get insurance to cover this before anything else.
