and Billy, for when you read this, what is EDR? I don't even know lol

and Aaron, what kind of EBC would you recommend?
What do you think the BBK was designed after? Maybe it is not a knockoff but more of a attempt at improving an existing product.

You can't handle EDR

and screw EBC's, use a good manual and avoid the issues. If you are going to rock a EBC though go with the aem

They definitely take a lot of patience to get right i'll give you that. You have to basically come up with a map for the upgraded setup that Mitsu spent some time in the ball park for the stock one.

Will still take one of those over an MBC though. I don't trust something that has no understanding of temp or baro to control my boost.

this is completely false.

as the bbk hasNEVER been stated to be like the RED, first of all examine the turbos... the red uses an HTA style compressor which is 7 blade, ours is not... and it uses an almost 35R-ish turbine, ours does not.

please do not comment on something you are not clear on

as for the original postes question.... was the BBK even mentioned in it? i think he asked tomei, red or green.... since we werent brought up, ill leave you to making your decision upon what you asked

cheers

For boost control I have the Greddy PROFEC B spec II... yes it is a pain to set up as the setup changes from car to car, and region to region. Once I finally got everything squared away it is great. It seriously took me about a week of playing around with it for an hour at a time to get it dialed in. As for ECU controlled boost, i know R/Ternie is utilzing ecu controlled boost and he seems to be pretty happy with it. The only reason i opted not to go that route was I like having a high and low boost setting that I can change by pressing a button and not switching around my maps. I have high set at 26 psi, and low set at 15 psi for DD.

Don't mean to steal your thread, but I've been debating for some time now between an FP Red, BBK full and recently Tomei ARMS. Yeah, the red is capable of greater HP numbers, but I'm building my car for autoX, Track, and DD. Probably won't go E85 anytime soon, if ever, so I'm leaning more toward the BBK and Tomei. However, I think it'd be cool if these companies sent out a demo setup to test it out on our respective mods, for a small fee of course. Another option would be to have a little/huge tuner in our area stock'em and do this type of demo on our machines for a fee. Hmmm, not a bad idea, but overall I'd probably be too expensive, oh well, so much for wishful thinkin.

met with chad today stand up guy and man is there anything that guy don't not know? Just my thought's the BBK is a good way to go if you want a stock spool up turbo and a kick a$$ reliable turbo . If you are looking at the other turbo's you should give the BBK a look also.

Owned by Chad!
I'm going red with my setup on e85. I plan on tracking it but not too much on the auto courses. For the money, you can take a 9 turbo and have it turned into a red for less than the other turbos. Obviously I could sell my 9 turbo and use that money towards one of these other ones. So it makes it a bit cheaper. My other options would be either the tomei or the bbk full.

Hey chad, any idea where my gold foil is I ordered???
