Front license plate Required?

I'm pretty sure that having a front license plate it required in the state of WA but I was wondering if they really enforce it around Seattle. I thought about it last night when I saw a white Evo 9 with a JDM bumper and Roof Basket in Bellevue driving without one.

yes front license plate is still required....seattle PD doesnt really enforce it tho... only state patrol and bellevue, kent, federal way cops enforce it. ive been driving without one for a long time and no problems in seattle yet.

Also depends on how you are driving. Cops usually leave you alone if you aren't doing anything stupid like revving or launching from lights etc.

Don't come onto Whidbey Island period if you don't have a front plate. I got pulled over once for no front plate and I have Florida plates... I was like...Um Florida doesn't require a front plate, and he felt pretty stupid after that when i showed him the Florida law in my glovebox... The cop looked like he was about 16 years old too so take that into account...

After thinking about it... there really is no reason people would even want to come to Whidbey Island anyway unless they wanted to commit suicide by jumping off Deception pass bridge...

Watch out for meter maids!!

And read your local laws!! I read mine here in CO and it's legal to have the plate in your front windshield. So, I plan on having my front plate if I need it, and if I vet pulled over, voila! and if I park at a meter, I'll leave it out.

got me 2x in one week after i decided to remove it. bad choice i got a ticket i had to pay.
illinois sux. i see so many cars without a front plate but these cornfed boys only pull over what they perceive as ricers. i have probaly seen 1 vette out of 20 that have a front plate so it must not be an issue for them.

That white one in bellevue was vince!

I haven't had mine on for a while and I live in street racer capital here in Kent. I always got nabbed in my eclipse when i had my body kit on it. The more your car sticks out the more attention you will get.
Bellevue will defenitly get you! I got stopped 4 times in my eclipse there, but 2 of those times they wanted to see the car and what was under the hood! Kinda weird.
