I like the rubberband trick. I use masking tape, but the rubber band looks a little nicer.

Actually I read that you used masking tape and was going to do the same, but then I thought it would be a PITA to get back off once the fuel rail is in place, so I used the rubber bands. You just nick them and they fly right off.
