WRONG... last year we had several REALLY spectacular smashes, all in the same corner.

Hard to explain but if you catch up with me at the track, I'll be right there where the action is

$10 was a bit steep. If I'm not competing, I show up so early, they're not even charging yet.

It was great to see the EVO contingent down there... Shaun, Cody, Juicy J, and a few others I don't know personally. We should have all parked together.

Also, AMR Engineering, the makers of my suspension, was there as well checkin things out. I think he may have some great new things cookin in the development department now

And it was also awsome to see WORKS made the event as well. Car looks pretty darn straight and Lars ran a really smooth race today. Nice job.

Two more days to go!!!

So... at the end of the day (four stages), the order looks like this:

Car 34 Foust/Beavis 8:06.5
Car 199 Pastrana/Edstrom 8:10.2
Car 20 Comrie-Picard/Durrant 8:16.2
Car 43 Block/Gelsomino 8:17.6
Car 176 Mancin/Wislawski 8:30.5

That's THREE EVOs in the top five. Yeah!!!
Five EVOs in the top ten. Oh Yeah!!!

We are EVO, hear us roar.

UPDATE:

Ken Block took the stage 5 win. Travis took the 2nd position just 2 tenths of a second in front of ACP, who finished third and 2 seconds in from of 4th place Andi Mancin. Tanner Foust in the EVO X, finished 5th, just a hair over 8 seconds back from Block.

So after stage 5, the lead has changed hands with Travis leading Tanner by a mere 3 seconds. Block is now in 3rd, just a fraction in front of ACP, now in 4th overall.

MANY more miles to go.

Next stage is Ketchum... Which has boulders the size of VW Beetles sticking out of the road surface. Some of them, literally, are 3 feet around and sticking up some 5 - 7 inches.

The organizers have painted them bright safety orange to alert the teams as they come over the roads but this stage, to be run twice, is a total car killer.

Be careful out there!

Updates as they come in.

Don't say I didn't warn them...

Results from Ketchum are in, and the stage lived up to it's reputation with one of the front runners...

Ken Block is OUT. DNF on Ketchum.

As a result, the stage win went to Travis Pastrana with Tanner just 2 seconds behind, extending Pastrana's Rally lead to 5 seconds after stage 6.

Third place on stage 6 went to ACP over Mancin.

Local EVO hotshoe, Carl Jardevall has moved up to 8th overall with an excellent run over stage 6.

5 EVOs in the top 10 still.

The WORKS EVO of Lars Wolfe is moving up and now in 15th overall.

Still one more pass over Ketchum, so the roughest of the event is not yet over. Keep it up, Boys and Girls!

Update:

It appears that the official cause of Block's DNF was a broken A-Arm caused by hitting one of the huge aforementioned rocks.

Tough 'break', Ken.

Looks like Tanner clawed back 4 seconds from Travis by winning Fir Mountain. That tightens up the race considerably, down to under 2 seconds by my calcs

Further Updates....

The FINISH for Ketchum has been changes, and along with it, the overall standings. I don't know WHY it's different, but they now have the win for Ketchum going to ACP!!!

So, as of the start of stage 8, the lead is, apparently, in Travis with ACP just a second or so shy in 2nd place.

Fir Mountain is being reported now as Travis winning it, ACP in 2nd and Tanner in 3rd. That's EVOs in 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 8th.

And now Stage 8 results are in...

Travis wins, Tanner 2nd and ACP 3rd down some 7 seconds from Travis.

EVOs still 5 of the top 10 positions.
