Quote: When did these cars get released? Because I have only seen TWO here in okc. One parked and the other driven by a 60y/o woman, both non ss. Pretty sad in my opinion for being such a highly anticipated car.
They've been out only a few weeks. They are also experiencing a bit of a shortage as demand is high. Even still I wouldn't expect to see very many for quite some time. It will take quite a while before you start seeing them regularly.

I am not hating although I suppose it can easily be taken that way. I just don't like the car. I haven't liked any of the throwback styling whether it be the Mustang, GTO, Charger, Challender ect.
Well, my comment wasn't directed at you in particular, more towards the tons of posts bashing Chevy and Ford.

Have you sat in the car?.... it most certainly does not have more room.
I stand corrected, upon further inspection the Evo does in fact have more interior room. My bad.

For one a couple hundred pounds is ALOT.
Yes, it is, and the car is still quicker in the 1/4 mile.

I am well aware of the horsepower difference of the GT500...it was an expressed opinion on my part to choose that. Not based on price, merely stating I prefer those body lines and that car in general.
Again my post was not directed at you but to all the F. O. R. D. "acronym" haters. They can hate on Ford all they want, their Mustang still puts out over 500 hp.

A fully loaded SS is going to be more than you think. I have seen the MSRP...don't let their starting out at "22k" fool you. Hell a optioned V6 is almost 30k. BMW did the same with the 135i.
I am MORE than well aware of the MSRP's for the Camaro(s). I have been to their website many times to configure the car, along with the Challenger and the Mustang. I probably hit the site once a day just for fun.

Fully loaded MSRP

Camaro $40,000
Challenger $45,000
Mustang $50,000

Give or take. Though a base 1SS can be had for $31,040. The base 2SS with tons of features and leather seats MSRP is $34,225, fully loaded goes for around $40,000. That is in keeping with the MSRP for an Evo X. GSR base MSRP is $31,685 and a fully loaded MR MSRP is $45,000 (Tech, Navi, Aero).

Will they be more expensive the first few month, demand is high right now, so yes, but the MSRP is actually higher on the Evo X than it is for the Camaro SS.

Oh I agree with you there...the X is slow to begin with Wait until they put some LT's, intake, exhaust, and tune on their. LS3 are animals...won't be hard at all for that car to probably hit high 11's with bolt on's.

I have to admit though some of them Ford acronyms are funny...only ones I know are for Vtec

I saw a red SS driving North on 405 the other day. I was surprised to see it as I have only seen RS to this point. I actually like the Challenger styling, but that thing is heavy as fugg. It just looks heavy.

The GT500 is heavy too - interestingly enough the stock GT is actually finally getting lighter and with the track pack, isn't doing too poorly in performance. As much as the Mustang can look mean, I just can't stand the car, unless it was a true late 60's version, maybe spilling over into the early 70's.

I dont like domestic cars, simply because they are like domestic women.

Fat, Large, Land Tanks that dont really do anything but suck your money for something you won't be able to use all the time.

I mean, are you really going to use 100% of that 500 horsepower everyday? I like it moderate. Say.... somewhere around 300? More HP than the Civics out there, but something more civilized for everyday driving.

Well then you're in luck. The new Fiat based Chrysler should be right up your alley.

Just like an Evo with 500hp, you don't need to be in the red everytime you throttle. Vettes get great gas mileage (I think I hear of people regularly getting 30mpg) for those that casually drive without taking constant advantage of all that hp, and I'm sure a somewhat comparably equipped Camaro would be the same.
