Finally drove a 2010 SS Camaro today at work I had to do a Pre-Delivery Inspection on it. A Couple salesmen kept talkin crap to me sayin how it would smoke the EVO even on a road course ....yea its definatly got some power to it but not gonna be smoking the EVO anytime soon maybe in a burnout competition i will give it that over the EVO for sure tho!

 

I drove Camaro SS.. it pretty nice.. but i would wait till newer camaro z2/8 it supposed come with LS9 Supercharger same engine as in Corvette Z06 ZR1.. sweet deal.. but GM filled chapter 11.. i hope they wont closed in future.. My dad and I plan buy Brand new 2500HD Silverado! soon.., I and my dad are Chevy hard core.., i have 75, 68 Nova and 59 1/2 ton Chevy truck...

 

ls9 supercharged is in the zr1. i really dont think it will have that unless it has a huge price tag

theres no way the new ss camaro can take an evo on road course. maybe on a straight line, but definitely not on road course.

 

Actually i read Motor Tread about Camaro SS and Z 2/8 Z2/8 is cheaper than Zr1.. ZR1 have alot alot mods like Carbon fiber Brake rotors, etc.

if a ls9 powered z28 came it would prolly be in the 50-55k range, given the new cadillac cts-v has a lite version of the LS9 according to Motor Trend which I guess is a smaller supercharger and detuned some, coming in at a msrp of $60,700. Also the 50k range would make a lot of sense since that is what the new 2009 shelby gt500 msrp is about 49k base msrp.

 

Lucky you!! I got a ride in the new KR Shelby GT-500. that thing is FAST(for a ford).
