Hey guys, does anybody have the tactrix flashing cable i can borrow...i disconnected my battery, and somehow my flash is gone and the car will barely stay running (because of 272 cams) the idle is too low. Thanks!

I'd gladly offer mine, but it's not really convenient.

this is impossible..its your ecu relearning your fuel trims because they were reset to zero...either get a better tune(since the trims obviously arent at zero or close to it) or just drive it around for a day or so n it will go away

How was the flash put into the car? If its just the regular old flashing method d/cing the battery (As noted above) can't make you lose the flash.

Some of this newer Live Mapping stuff, if its stored in memory where it can get wiped if the ECU loses power for a long period of time then that would make sense but otherwise....

That being said, lots of people around here with cables who can help you out. My cable is loaned out right now and probably won't see it back for a week or so.

Why did you disconnect the battery cable? were you performing work on the car? if so what did you do? you may have a leak of some sort in the charge pipes or intake that could be causing these issues..

yeah this just sound like the car forgot its last 50 or so start ups and knowledge of your prexisting parameters (fuel trims, load, ect.) I believe after about a week or so driving it would make everything go back to the way it was. But as others have said (type of flash) it may have gone away, but I think that is highly unlikely.

keep us posted.

Does your car have an aftermarket BOV? If it does, that might be the problem. Some blow off valves wreak havoc with our MAF sensors due to the extreme sensitivity.

By no means am I saying that the BOV is the problem, it is just something a lot of people have problems with. Especially stalling at partial throttle (letting off the gas in mid throttle.)

I disconnected the battery because of my alarm..my shock sensor went off and theres a blue light that flashes (Theft detterent) and cant turn it off unless the brain recives power from the ignition, and i havent hooked that part up. so it got annoying. I unhooked the cable for no more then 5-10 seconds. i have checked for leaks and can not find any.

yea thats what im thinking too...it starts and idles fine in open loop but when it gets warmed up and hits closed loop it does it really weird. but i let it idle for like 20 mins. then drove it around for 30 and its better. the rpm still drops to like 4-500 then back to just under 1k doesnt stall any more. but im getting tuned by English on the 1st. hopefully he can figure it out.

I have a cable and you are welcome to stop by and use it, but it is a somewhat mysterious problem so I'm not sure I could fix it for you ...

this is as good as having a K&N Typhoon intake system, both these parts just dont agree with evos,

and im TELLING you, if your car was flashed via ECUFlash, like it almost definitely was, then your flash is still there but your tune is in need of adjustment, have you added anything to the car since the tune was put in?
