Where I just came from (Cleveland) 100 and 110 was available at alot of places. I love the smell of race gas!
Leaded gas turns your tail pipes white tho, and cops may pull you over and see if you're street legal. FYI

Crap, I didn't know they had that at Thrasher's Shell. How much for 101? I'm in Monroe, but a quick side-trip to Thrasher's corner isn't too far out of the way (take whatever backroad that is to Paradise Lake, then to Monroe).

^Very good point - wasn't thinking of that since the last "big" jump I made was when I found an actual station that sold true 93 at the pump instead of the crappy 92 that is most everywhere.

BTW - the only gains I saw from running higher octane, untuned (again, not this big of a jump) was better mpg and less knock (which was minimal at the time anyway)
Do you have the IC coolant switch/selector? I think you can do map switching based on that, from what I've heard. I'm not familiar with this, just read it in a few posts. I can't remember what year your VIII is as this was on earlier models from what I know.

Whats that?
Do you mean the IC sprayer? I do have that.

Yeah basically that is all the 93 will do for you over 92 is knock suppression... and if you were tuned on 93 you could most likely run a few more degrees of timingnot alot but that is where you pick up HP on octane changes... per say the gas gives you no HP but the timing and AFR changes the higher octane allows you to make is what will generate the HP...

Yep, that is it. Look into the ECU forums most likely (or wait for someone to post here) but I have read that you can have a map switch tied to that. Since I don't have an VIII with the sprayer I never really dug in. I am pretty sure a couple people in the NW are utilizing that for map switching (e.g. - moving from an e85 to pump map).
