A few buddies have this unit on their MS3's or MS6's. I'll post your link up on MazdasNW to see if it helps move a few extra units!

I should point out that my LICP is ETS and i've been strongly considering replacing the crappy Fujita UICP and intake with ETS units. (they were on when I bought the car)

Nice, Ryan! I'm running a HFC and debating a test pipe or a 2nd muffler there instead.

F0RSAKEN - this is from a post from Ryan on the previous page:

-EMS LICP
-Forge MBC
-FP 18psi WGA
-leak-down test (found about 3 leaks plus one from my crummy install of the LICP)
-Turbo Back Exhaust
-Cleaned intake filter
-Tranny/T-case/rear diff/ACD/motor fluids changed

Well, running with the test pipe has its disadvantages. 1) its louder than i'd like, 2) increases the chance of a modified exhaust ticket 3) power gain isnt necessarily worth the hassle

In my case the exhaust had to be taken out, whatever "muffler shop special" that was in there when i got the car was crap. see what i'm talking about:

Thats ALOT of crimps. and it was amazingly loud. (gutted cat, improperly installed o2, crimps everywhere, 3rd world build quality and stupid muffler)

Wow that thing sucked! How is the test pipe at idle/low rpm. I've never had a cop even look my direction with my Buschur TBE w/Bullet, but I'm usually just cruising around town. The VTA at accelleration would likely get them to look first.

Also, the power gain for me would likely be worth it. As far as hassle, do you mean points one and 2? The hassle of getting it on there is not that much.

unfortunately i cant make a "OEM v. Aftermarket" comparison.

All I can make is a "loud, ****ty aftermarket homebrew special v. loud, cheap aftermarket exhaust" comparison.

Hassle meaning that dont the current HFC only take about 8-15 hp away these days? They are much more free flowing than they used to be.

What i'd like to do (eventually) is install a dump tube, then put the scliencer in for cruising. Speedware Motorsports made a really nice dump tube on my friends Mazda6. It looks, sounds and performs phenominal!

Look hard, its the silver square where a rear diff would be, the dump is just to the right of that.

Nice pic. I've never seen the little Mazda logo modified like that - pretty cool.

15 more whp and a tune could be the difference between me and 500whp at this point!

I'm thinking of getting this, though: linky dink. That should quiet my system down more but remove the back pressure of the cat. I hear it sounds really good.

My biggest concern in the past is how stank the vehicle would get with no cat. At this point I'm not too concerned about that though.

not sure if you got the 17x9" +45 enkei RPF1s mounted...but ur definately gonna need more than a 15mm spacer.

i ran 17x9.5 +38 and a 20mm spacer up front.
