English racing dyno update (last page)
Hi all,
My name is Ryan and I thought i'd introduce myself as I'll be around here for a bit.
Most recent car was a 2008 Mazdaspeed3 but I was in the land of the DSM prior to that with a '99 Eclipse GST.
I currently only know 1 EvoM member who has a blue Evo8, Joey. So hopefully i'll meet some more of you guys/gals soon.
Plans are to be happy with AWD and >300hp. However most of my technical skills are in automotive detailing rather than wrenching.
Mazdaspeed3 (the RPF-01's are going on the evo)

And the evo 9 I just bought:

I'm glad you asked about the rims! I know the bolt pattern will work but havent researched the offset yet. They are 17x9 with 45mm offset. Do you know if i'll be needing some spacers to make these clear the gi-normous brembo calipers?

I'm used to having one of the only brightly colored cars in a group. I've been with MazdasNW for the past 2 years and they shun the bright red like I shun the clap.

In fact I am an old NWDSM OG (well, just another old person). Met joey at the Hood River Run back in 2002.
Tires size was a compromise to fit the Mazda, 235 is as wide as you can go on those without loosing your turning radius and rubbing it out like in a strip club restroom. (235/40/17 Falken 615's)
Loved the mazda, but i've had FWD since I was 19 and kept getting stuck in the snow, rain, sun or wherever else FWD sucks. Always been an evo fan but couldnt step up to the price point till the economy failed (thank you failed economy!)
Just ordered a Forge MBC to resolve whatever is going on there.
And all 3 ACD lights are on so it needs to be drained (dont we all!). That will be on SpeedSports dime but there arent very many mitsu dealerships up here.... Tips/advice????
Pic of my 2g attached (yes I know it had big rims and a big spoiler... I liked it nontheless.
