Okay, that was three, but #3 is very importanto.

BTW: you need to re-clearcoat that trunk lid or wax it more. (sorry, my inner detailer just came out)
It would be wise to not have anything to do with a chick that only digs your car.

It's unique Daniel. I like the WWJBD but are you going to go vinyl crazy? What's wrong with the sleeper look? Me like sleepers.

I won't go too crazy. That is why I have the other vinyls in matte black on the CF trunk - they are pretty hard to see ('specially when they get just as dirty as the trunk...). Trust me - I like the sleeper look! Of course I guess the CF doesn't help too much with that.

If I were you, I would go back to completely stock and go bate some civics. In a wide open country road with no people and animals around of course.

Wait, so you took the time to prep an area for horsepower stickers, but couldnt find time for the rest of the car?

You must be from one of the Mazda forums!

(I kid, i kid, while insulting the mazda forums)

Those dudes are funny. An old boss of mine was married to an Aussie and introduced me to them a while ago.

Update: see this link.

We wanted to get a good comparison of the Red vs the Black on straight pump, so I took the batch down to English Racing and they did their magic. For the final tuning of the black, I didn't follow my own sticker's advice, and went 50/50 meth mix (Aaron said I should stay 100%). While the power is better on the Black, it is not an apples to apples comparison for how my car was setup previously and now I'm kicking myself for leaving something on the table.

I initially went to meth on my setup cause I didn't like the issues exposed by the crappy WA pump gas; on 50/50, Aaron was seeing occasional 1's and 2's. Cue the Drift Office on the 12th/13th, and I should be back on 100% meth.

Thanks once again to Aaron and Lucas for hooking it up! I'll see you guys in 1.5 weeks!

*update - I ran 100% meth at the Drift Office on Dec 13th and hit 512whp/413lb-ft. I never did get a graph up here cause Bob didn't email them this time, and my scanner is busted. I keep meaning to take a snapshot of the printout; so ghetto!

Sparktechs are bad ***! The ARC spark plug cover didn't last very long.

Still have it. ER crew wasn't sure if I could run it or not. I have to check with Sparktech as I believe I read somewhere that they advise against a cover to maximize cooling. We'll see!

*update* nothing to do with ER or the COP kit from Sparktech

I'm sad to say that my car is not doing well. There has been a phantom "whirring" so quiet that I at first thought it was my FP-Black at low spool. It started getting louder and the miles I put on her, and the dyno pulls probably didn't help out.

I thought it could be my TOB, but the whirring is when the clutch is engaged. Well today it was really loud when I was decelerating off a freeway exit and it got really loud for a split second. A WTF moment and thought (hoped) it was the car next to me making noise.

I drove another 15 miles and dropped my friend off at work and nothing but the phantom noise. I gassed it to get out of his parking lot and the noise is now here to stay!

The noise seems to be linked to rpm (it usually starts at about 2k on the tach) and also engine load - when going up a hill it will get higher-pitched/louder, when going level and under 2k you can't notice it. I can put the car in neutral and raise the rpms and the noise is present, but quieter and it doesn't hit until higher rpm (likely cause there is less load on the engine with no TC, tranny, etc.).

So, I'm guessing this is something on the motor side, or maybe the input shaft bearing, as I've read similar symptoms when those go out. I'll keep everyone posted.
