winter tires
I have always used the 245 blizzaks and they worked very well. However, this year I found a set of the Dunlop wintersport 3ds for cheap in the 225 size. I am anxious to see how they work out. I used to go to school right in the middle of the snow belt and the blizzAks worked fine, I am pretty sure I used the lm-25 variant. Driving is of course, key. Good luck!
Thanks! I am just planning for normal evo driving, nothing crazy. But I know it's pretty wet and can get icy. So since this is my first winter up here, just trying to be safe.
I have heard good things about the Pirelle P Zero Nero All Season. Has anyone tried these/heard anything?

if you aren't planning on snow plowing then you really don't need blizzaks, driver mod and all seasons should suit you just fine. Heck when i had my 02 m3 i had high perf tires and i drove in the snow a couple days and did just fine. Just don't drive crazy. I would check around or call tirerack/discount tire and see what they recommend.
I go back and forth on this one A/S vs winter, and IMO if you want to get the most out of the Evo, get dedicated winter tires. Much more confidence inspiring, not to mention more fun driving circles around 4x4's, SUV's etc. I'm getting ready to pick up a set of General Artic Altimax @ $114 each, from The Tire Rack, stock size.
Hey, I been looking for driver mod, where can I pick one up ?
