i was completely off. the ticking sound was coming from my exhasut manifold. a couple of the studs busted off. its a megan manifold. $857 to fix broken studs and new gaskets ouch. thanks for all the advise fellas. couple of days without the evo ouch
ouch man! well atleast it wasnt your lifters or something worse but $857.00?!?! thats a pretty big rip off but atleast your getting it fixed! did they give you a mitsu loaner car atleast??
I'm glad your problem is resolved, I'm sorry to hear for how much. When you guys talk about ticking and timing belts, can you describe it? I just did my 60k service about 7k miles ago. I did the job myself and I want to make sure I'm listening out for anything odd. Thanks
Well I've heard some really crappy stories from Brien lately, this being one of them. Unless they told you what it was and how much it would cost, and you said go ahead. That is ridiculously expensive.
brett at brien was suppose to call me this afternoon and tell me the eta for parts before i authorize it. ill call in the morning and ask why so much if there is a cheaper shop i could go to im all ears. oh and they gave a pontiac vibe as a rental no new evo
NO EVO!?!?!?! DANG THEM!!!!!!
lol.
