It's depressing....

I was driving through Alderwood Mall yesterday (me and the woman went to see Sherlock Holmes), and I see a nice new R35 GTR drive by. I glance in the window, and the guy driving it is probably 24-26. Why couldn't I have been born into money? Bustin' *** for the **** I have gets old after a while lol.

PS The movie rocked. Go see that and Avatar, if you haven't.

I BUST!! my *** for the payment on my evo when I had it. I will continue to do so when I get my new evo. At least by paying for your own ****, you appreciate it and tke better care of it!

One reason why I like staying single. But then again, I would like the company of a woman. ;P

Those kids that are given these expensive cars don't appreciate them. They aren't car enthusiasts, they just drive them. If they crash it, they don't care, they buy another. I love my Evo. Wouldn't give it up for nothing.

avatar was the largest dis-service James Cameron (film director) could've done for our armed service. I actually watched the movie with a serving Army member home for the holiday's and felt bad that he had to sit and watch the film with us. Next think you know they'll be drawing similarities between the Washington State police and the people who killed bambi. /rant.

I think it was aimed more at the government than any of the Armed Forces personally. While I would agree that it could be viewed as painting them (Marines specifically, as I think thats what they were in the movie) in a negative light, it really breaks down to the command structure and how they responded to the situation, which is kinda how it is with our government and how many people view their actions. Beyond all that, it stated when he first landed that they were more mercenary now than anything, so it really does try to diffuse anyone from making the correlation that you did, IMO anyway.

And for the GTR, it was in fact silver, and if it was the guy you mention, John, then I stand corrected in my original rant and kudos for him for getting that on his own! 80-110k (depending when he got it) is no small feat for someone his age, as I'm 26 and can only afford 2 25k cars, and I work about 1k hours OT a year to pay for mods!

Regardless of what small phrasing was done to make it not as offensive... it's hard NOT to see the blantant and direct political persective that the director was trying to paint.
