My new lip!

Yes, its a replica RA lip. Got it from BaysonR on Ebay. Fitment is 9/10.

I got the paint at one of the local shops in Lynnwood, looks good so far. Just hope the paint doesn't flake or anything. =X The paints a little off, but I think its new paint vs old paint. I'm a stickler for this. Took a couple pics.

Total Cost: $200 =O

Their products are good, fitment is 9/10, but not perfect. But pretty damn good IMO for the price.

Just take any lip you buy to a good paint shop, considering its that close to the ground and all. I'm going to see how my $100 paint job works out. Call me the "guinea pig". =P

Looking good, John. What happened to the original place that was going to paint it; did they mess it up, or is this the product from that shop? Can you elaborate on 9/10 fitment and how it was a batch to put on? Can't wait to see it in person!

Well, I took it to the paint shop, and when they said they were done the first time, I guess someone had brushed on it or something because there was streaks in the paint, like it was scraped off or something. I look over it and told them: "I'm not going to take this crap, fix it." One week later, they called me back, I did my inspection and it was good. (^_^)

Its a ***** to put on simply because of so many damn screws to take out on the lip.

I'm sure everyone has taken off the front bumper before, but in order to take off the lip, there are (I swear to god) 18 small screws. The BaysonR lip does not have pre-drilled holes, so most of my time was putting screws in. If I would have known this information, I would have brought my power drill with me, but since I didn't have one at the time, I just used the "brute force screwdriver" method. I didn't put in all the screws. I put in approximately 12 of the 18 screws. Its was just too many damn screws and 3 of them were just a *****.

Just a note however, my front bumper was already messed up. Seems like the previous owner of my Evo had a lip on there before and had hit something, so the metal bars supporting the front bumper were bent up. So fitment issues of that 1/10 might be because of my individual front bumper.

The BaysonR lip might fit your front bumper perfectly.

Yeah, I swear to god, like 18 freakin' screws. If you do this, I *HIGHLY FREAKIN'* recommend a power drill with a extended Phillips screw bit.

Oh, and take the bumper off. Trust me on this. Don't be lazy and leave the bumper on and take off the lip. Don't ask me how I know. (T_T)

The BaysonR ones are Polyurethane so durability isn't a problem. It can take a couple hard bumps and scrapes. Just beware of choosing the paint shop though. I'm expecting chips soon. But for $200 for the whole lip painted, I'm not complaining. s(^_^)b
