I retract all that I previously said about them. As far as customer service goes I will no longer buy anything from them or their lip like I had planned.

Sorry to clutter the thread, but figured I would throw it out there. This was just yesterday. I got the mirrors from my GF for my Birthday less than a month ago and the mirrors started to chip. Initially it was a little and then it got worse, so I didnt say anything right away and when I did it was in a very civilized fashion. I received an email reply after i promptly sent pics and then I was accused of damaging them myself and all of this and that that could have happened when you can clearly tell they have a defect. The CF is fine and the fit on them was prob an 8/10. I understand I prob should have said something right away as I didnt read their policy on such things, but regardless I went about it the right way. Here is what "Cliff" had to say...

Why you wait till 3 weeks, it's unreasonably long period of time if the chip really started immediately when the item was shipped to you on 1/20/10 and today is 2/12/10.
This long period of time, anything can happen, your car might got into accident, or you might did some auto body work and accidentally scratched that, or you didn't do the install carefully and scratched that off, or even someone scratched that off in the parking lot. Apparently we have no way to prove all that any longer, notify us this late is just unreasonably long and not acceptable. It's too late to file a damage claim with ontrac, the shipping carrier because you waited this long. Before ship out when we do the packing it was in excellent condition.
You already installed it, it's not in resellable condition so we can't take it back. Since the CF part is still in excellent condition, we suggest you to DIY and fix it yourself. Buy a little bit blue masking tape and tape off the CF portion real good, then the mirror, and buy something called "SEM bumper coater", it's a spray can for commercial use, it bonds on any surface and no primer coating is needed, you like flat black or gloss black or semi-gloss black all your choice.
Before you spay, use very fine sand paper and wet sand it to make the surface smooth, then the spraying outcome will be better. A good paint job often because of the good prep work (wet sanding) instead of the actual spraying step itself.

Hope you get this resolved.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Cliff

And on to the pics...

I know its not a huge deal, but you cant just go after the customer like that when they havent accused anyone of anything besides the clear fact you can see the defect on the passenger side mirror. I prob can get them fixed too, but thats not the point. Hope this helps anyone that was thinking of buying from them. This is just my experience thus far. I am happy with the mirrors besides this fact, but I know there are some better ones out there and for $150 its not bad, but looking back now I would just buy the Rexpeed ABS ones for a little extra $$$.
