HarEvo = Scammer

I already made one thread about this guy but I am making this thread to detail our transaction and why he is a scammer. I want people to know that he lied to me and would probably lie again, so it would be wise to be careful when doing any sort of business with this guy.

At this point I am going to attempt to take some sort of legal action. If you have any ideas feel free to PM me. Don't post it on this thread.

Please please please do not make any "you should have known what you were buying" or "it is your fault" or "you should have known it was too good to be true" comments. Keep your negative comments to yourself.

Here is the gist of what happened. I have not modified any of the quotes at all.

I made a post a while back saying that I was looking for a set of Swift springs. Yesterday I got the following message from this guy.

I was thinking this deal was too good to be true so I responded with the following.

He responded with.

He followed with.

Some of the text messages that were exchanged yesterday.

Me - And the struts are Mr Bilsteins?
Him - Yes they are off my 05 MR

Some of the text messages that I sent to him after I had driven home, done some research on evom, and realized he did not sell me MR Bilsteins. Keep in mind it took him almost 20 hours to respond to any of my calls and messages after he got the cash. Kind of fishy right, considering he was prompt to answer messages before.

Me - Those aren't the Bilsteins so call me when you get a chance. I can bring them back.

Me - Call me about the struts today please. They aren't the MR Bilsteins.

Me - Call me back. I am going to continue attempting to contact you until you make this right.

Him (this is exactly as it was written) - I have and 05 MR and that's was my old suspension a rs or gsr would fit on mine so I don't know what your confused about the springs themselves are 350 with shipping so sell the struts if you don't need them I asked you if they were you needed and offered to look on my phonebut you that's what you needed

At this point I am furious. I asked him several times prior to the meeting if they were MR Bilsteins. I was very specific about this and would not have purchased them if I would have known they were the stock GSR struts. I even said when we met "I thought the Bilsteins are supposed to be yellow and these are black." He assured me that they were the Bilsteins. He completely lied to me and knew what he was doing the entire time.

I probably should have known that all MR Bilsteins are yellow. That being said, it is never ok to lie to someone and/or scam someone under any circumstance. It is not the buyer's job to make sure he isn't getting ripped off. It is the seller's job to tell the truth and do the right thing. This guy is exactly what is wrong with doing business over the internet.

I don't know what his name is but his number is 425-286-5645 if you feel like calling him to let him know how much of a stand up person he is!

I should also note that I have offered on multiple occasions AFTER I KNEW HE SCREWED ME that I would still buy the springs for $175 and hold the struts for him until he came back to Portland.

Thanks for reading.

Mods. Please feel free to check my PM's to verify the quotes.

Wow, that sucks brother. It is too bad that you didn't know someone to call for quick verification beforehand, but I agree that the seller should be responsible for what they are selling especially if they say one thing up front and another thing after the fact (which appears to be the case here). I hope things get worked out for you.

That is why you and I have perfect sales ratings. I bought some stuff from you and it was EXACTLY as described, just as it should have been.

The bottom line is that when you tell someone you are selling Item A it should be Item A and not Item A subject to verification.

If I took his word for it I would be driving around thinking I have MR Bilsteins. If he would have said "these are off my MR so I think they are Bilsteins but I don't know" then it would be my fault and I would take responsibility. However, I covered myself and that isn't what happened.

Does English Racing charge you for an ETS intercooler and install a clone, leaving it up to you to tell the difference. No.

That is pretty shady to tell you they are MR Bilsteins to your face.

Well if you knew his name and address you could sue him in small claims court. Time to start doing some detective work.

That is what I am thinking. I realize it isn't that much money but it is the principle of the matter.

"Him - Yes they are off my 05 MR"

Looking at his threads, he had a Evo with a SSL package not an MR. Hope you find him

After reading his threads I sort of thought the same thing. Ahhhhh. I just wish he would sack up and refund my money.
