Valvecover powdercoating
Jake and I decided to get our valvecovers powdercoated by my man Carlos. TCC kicks out the sick S.
The inner Honda boy in me screamed for wrinkle black-

Jake wanted to do a more subdued setup. He shaved the fins on the stock VIII valvecover and then we had it colormatched and glossed on top of that-

I am thinking about taking all the spares we have and sending them down to have coated. I conducted an impromptu survey today to see what colors would be kind of universal.
So far-
Gloss White
Gloss Black
Wrinkle Red/Black
Black Chrome
What else would be something to have them coated that will add the custom look but not be something that only one person would run (i.e. HAWT Pank, Takata Green, etc.)?
thanks
Aaron

Those look like they turned out really well!
Also I don't know how many people would like it, but I've done a few valve covers for my other cars in a black chrome/graphite metallic color and they look sweet.

Wrinkle red was one I was thinking of doing but I didnt want to be too close to Jake's and I didnt really need Type R stuff on my Evo. Black Chrome would look awesome, my Bike helmet is black chrome actually.

This what my helmet looks like and what I would think the valvecover will look like.
As long as we arent paint matching I think the more generic colors are somewhere like 75-80 by the time they are done (mine was 75) plus packaging and shipping. I'd expect to spend a 100 or so. Jakes was extra because of the color matching like 100 or so for that plus the rest.
Personally I want to do my valve cover brembo gold, and have the calipers done at the same time.
Electric Blue and Brembo gold, a color-combo for the ages. Seriously all the kids are doing it like falcon punches on the street corners.
Any ideas what you guys were going to charge, and what core-charges would be?

hmmm id be interested!
how will the wrinkle red look? will the red be as close as brembo red?
ryan's idea of having the calipers and valve cover painted together is sweet. it tried the how to reclear for by calipers but they are already chipping. its not even a year yet so ill have it repainted instead!
